Mindful Moments in Nature

Slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with the living landscape around you. This guided Shinrin-yoku (forest bathing) experience invites you to move through the Garden’s trails and wooded areas with intention, using your senses to deepen your connection to nature.

Unlike a traditional hike, forest bathing is a gentle, meditative walk. You’ll be guided to pause, sit, and open your awareness—listening to birdsong, observing shifting light, and feeling the textures of the natural world. This unhurried journey encourages relaxation, presence, and a renewed sense of balance.

The walk lasts approximately 1.5 hours and concludes with a grounding tea ceremony and light seasonal snack.

Come as you are, and allow nature to meet you there.

What to bring:

  • Water and a small snack

  • Comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for slow walking

  • Optional: A cushion, folding chair, or small pillow for sitting on the ground.

Please notify the instructor of any mobility concerns, allergies, or health considerations prior to the walk—either by email to registrar@nebg.org or in person before the session begins.

Ensuring a safe and welcoming experience for all participants is our top priority.
