Release tension, let go of worries, move gently, and discover the pure joy of Yoga Nidra. In this mini retreat you will:

  • Experience a gentle, mat based yoga practice designed to release physical tension and gently awaken the body.
  • Practice mindfully moving the body with the breath to promote awareness of the present moment.
  • Focus meditative awareness on the heart-space, to cultivate compassion, and joy.
  • Experience the transformative practice of Yoga Nidra, the art of yogic sleep with deep awareness.
  • Learn to set a Sankalpa, an intention which holds deep meaning in your life.
  • Release tension through all the layers of the Self: physical, energetic, mental/emotional, psychic, and bliss.
  • Relax, release, and renew your body, mind, and spirit.
  • Discover the transformative relaxation, peace, and joy of a gentle yoga and Yoga Nidra practice.

Participants will need a yoga mat, a bolster (or two bed pillows), a blanket, 2 blocks, a yoga strap (or old tie), and water. Dress in comfortable clothing. Optional: any yoga props in personal practice. Journaling is encouraged!

Instructor: Linda Snay, E-RYT

Linda teaches mindful, gentle yoga classes to all levels, informed by 20 years of study and practice.  She earned certifications in Hatha and Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra. She has been a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance since 2007 and earned the Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher designation with Yoga Alliance in 2018, signifying over 1,000 hours of yoga taught.  For seven years, Linda helped build a hospital-based yoga program at a local complementary care center, which made yoga available to all, including those recovering from injury and illness.  Linda is deeply interested in the many ways balanced yoga practice can impact the effects of stress on the mind and body, bringing transformation, equanimity, and peace to the busy modern yogi.
