Celebrate the Winter Solstice with THREE Seasonal Crafts
Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature, creativity, and festive cheer as we welcome the winter season with three of enchanting hands-on workshops, and a day of celebration with NEBG!
Dried Flower Crown
Begin your solstice celebration by crafting a beautiful dried flower crown using seasonal greens and botanicals from Sam’s personal collection. Sam will guide you through crown-making techniques you can use all year long.
Yule Log
Explore the meaning and tradition of the Yule log as you create your own symbolic centerpiece. Using a wooden base, evergreens, dried citrus, candles, and other natural materials, Shannon will share the stories behind classic elements like holly, cinnamon, and evergreen boughs—timeless symbols of warmth, protection, and renewal during the winter season.
Hand-Poured Beeswax Candle with Alyson, NEBG Staff
In the afternoon we will learn the craft of making hand-poured beeswax candles, the symbolism of adding light, intention, and seasonal warmth to your celebration.
Winter Solstice Solstice Garden Walk with Laura, NEBG Staff
To conclude this meaningful seasonal celebration, Laura, one of NEBG's favourite tour guides, will lead us on a gentle guided walk through the Winter Garden and woodland trails—adorned with your handmade solstice treasures—
Through creativity, seasonal foliage, and storytelling, this workshop offers both a grounding craft experience and a way to connect with the season.
All materials are provided, and you’re welcome to bring small personal items or tokens to incorporate.
