Gentle Movement for Every Body

Experience the benefits of yoga through a gentle, fully supported practice designed to meet you where you are. Perfect for those with limited mobility, recovering from injury, or simply looking for a more accessible approach, this class uses a chair as a prop to support balance, flexibility, and mindful movement.

Ideal for seniors, office workers, and anyone seeking a slower, low-impact yoga practice, Chair Yoga offers a relaxing way to stretch, strengthen, and reconnect with your body—no need to get down on the floor!

Please bring a yoga mat for stability underneath your chair; blocks and straps optional. If you do not have a yoga mat, we have a limited number of mats available to borrow.

All levels welcome. Chairs provided. Comfortable clothing recommended.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR - KENDRA MCCUINE

Kendra is an RYT-200 Certified Yoga Instructor and Reiki practitioner who has been practicing yoga since her teens to support her physical and mental health. She facilitates classes that promote breath awareness, mindful presence, and a balance of physical strength and ease. She believes deeply in the importance of regulating our nervous systems to counteract the physical and emotional impacts of stress and promote long-term health, interweaving practices such as pranayama (deliberate breath work) and meditation into each class. She also believes that yoga is for everybody and every body! Pose progressions are offered frequently, enabling practitioners to customize their own levels of challenge and release each time they come to the mat. Beyond the yoga studio, Kendra supports families of children with learning disabilities and ADHD through her role as educational consultant for a neuropsychology practice. She also enjoys creating pottery, eating good food, and spending time with her husband, three children, two cats, and dog.
