Pysanky are traditional Ukrainian Easter eggs, intricately decorated using a was-resist method that dates back over a thousand years. Each egg is adorned with detailed patterns and symbols, with every color and motif holding deep meaning - representing themes like protection, prosperity, fertility, and renewal of life. Originally created to celebrate spring and to ward off evil spirits, Pysanky were believed to hold powerful blessings for family and community. Passed down through generations, this beautiful art form remains a cherished symbol of Ukrainian culture, resilience, and hope, connecting people to their heritage and the changing seasons.
