Barbara’s Bus Fund: Honoring a Legacy, Inspiring a New Generation

Each year, nearly 100 school groups visit the Garden for hands-on, immersive learning experiences. But for many schools—especially Title I schools—transportation costs can put these trips out of reach.

To remove this barrier, the Garden established Barbara’s Bus Fund in 2024, honoring the memory of Barbara Morse—a beloved trustee, volunteer, and advocate for environmental education. Thanks to generous donors, over a thousand students have already had the chance to explore the natural world—many for the very first time.
